The word of the Lord was very precious unto Samuel, 1 Sam 3:1 kjv. Trained up by Eli in the sanctuary, he fed upon God‘s word night and day as a child. There came a day that God spoke to him. He appeared in a vision and the heavens opened once again. We owe a lot to the prophets of old. Because of their dedication to the word of God, as a result, elect men could see as they should. They were able to see what others could not. Now, in our generations, if we are willing and obedient as the prophets of old, who indeed affected nations, let truth be told; (Kings of nations had respect, as the word came openly, God did protect) 2 Kings 8:10. If we turn wholly to the word my friends, the open vision shall occur, and respect shall rise again.
Jesus said in John 1:51 “And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”
Wait just A minute. Don’t just relegate these things to Jesus alone. For he said,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and GREATER WORKS than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”John 14:12 King James Version (KJV)
We can live under an open heaven.
1 Sam. 3: 21
The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.
